Adventure in Puebla

Our week in Puebla is coming to a close. We had a wonderful time visiting the City of Cholula, climbing the pyramid, and exploring the wonders of the land below Popo (the volcano), on our first day here. Then, with the tourist activities out of the way,Our week in Puebla is coming to a close.  We had a wonderful time visiting the City of Cholula, climbing the pyramid, and exploring the wonders of the land below Popo (the volcano), on our first day here.  Then, with the tourist activities out of the way, we jumped into construction, eagerly.  Ina is a wonderful host, with the patience of a saint.  She showed us repeatedly what we needed to do, but let us learn at our own pace.  Our four teenagers, and three very American adults, were faced with challenges and possibilities we had never imagined.  Arturo and Miguel shared their immense knowledge and expertise about global issues, in a realistic and humane way.  We now see the global connections between water use, commerce, and life in general.  This opportunity to grow personally has been priceless.  We appreciate the families who have opened their humble homes to us with sincere generosity.  Our project is almost done.  A cob wall is almost ready to hold and herb garden, that will supply flavor to delicious dishes, as well as help to motivate others to grow their own.  This was not a vacation in any sense, it was a growing opportunity, and a chance to learn how to improve the global existence.  Thank you Community Links for opening our eyes and our hearts to the World.
